Biography
Leonardo la Torre is a Corleone native resident, the son of Michele la Torre and Giovanna Colletti.
His mother's sister, Giuseppa, is married to Leoluca Cutrera, son of Salvatore Cutrera, who leads the Mafia in Corleone from 1893-1900. Michelangelo Gennaro is its boss from 1920-24. The brothers Leonardo and Giuseppe La Torre are named among Michelangelo's Gennaro's most faithful followers in 1923.[1]
Leonardo marries twice, first to Francesca Paola Rocche’, daughter of Giuseppe Roche’ and Giovanna Crocilla’, on 15 April 1923 in Corleone.[2]
Leonardo remarries to Alba Antonina la Torre, daughter of Vincenzo la Torre and Francesca Pennino, on 30 July 1932 in Corleone.[3] Alba and Leonardo are first cousins.
